We installed a 985 kW AC grid-tied system with Genset integration and custom-built walkways for Esikhaweni Plaza, owned by the Schoonhoven family of Schoonhoven Enterprises. The system was tailored to offset the plaza’s major daytime energy demand, driven by refrigeration and air conditioning loads, and significantly reduce diesel consumption during generator use. With this setup, Esikhaweni Plaza now benefits from greater energy stability and up to 70% savings on daytime diesel costs, supporting both operational efficiency and long-term cost control.
